Chickpea: our proposals

In our line Il Seminatore – IL BUON SEME, SAIS offers three varieties of Chickpea: Ares, Principe and Vittoria.

Today we talk about the Vittoria variety. This variety is particularly suitable for the industry. The cultivation of legumes destined to the agro-food industry has progressively decreased in our country even if the consumption of these species increases.
The product intended for the industry must be selected in such a way that the grain reaches a ripeness and resistance suitable for the processing process, without affecting the quality of the product.
The Vittoria variety allows a great advantage: resistance to Ascochyta.
The plant is robust, of medium cycle, with ovoid pod of 1-2 seeds. The grain is medium-large, with wrinkled surface.
